The first National Training Session for the Field Rehearsal (FiRe) of the 9th wave of the SHARE study is being held online.
The First Results Book based on data from SHARE waves 6 and 7 was presented. The Book covers various topics from the socio-economic status and health of individuals during the life cycle. SHARE places special emphasis on the interrelationship between health, social well-being and the socio-economic status of older people. A person's health, economic status and social networks are not predetermined. On the contrary, they are shaped by the interaction of biology, the conditions of growing up in a parental/family environment, and the education of a person throughout the life cycle. This monograph, therefore, provides an overview of the first results of the sixth and seventh waves of the study and serves as a kind of inspiration for insight into what types of research SHARE data allow. Finally, SHARE has a unique interdisciplinary, lifelong and internationally comparative approach. For this reason, the European Commission and the Member States use data from the SHARE study to assess, inter alia, health and long-term care costs, healthy life expectancy and the adequacy of pensions through which the European Commission regularly assesses Member States' national pension systems.
In the period from September 21 to October 21, 2020, 2 online trainings for educators called "Up and Running in Stata" and "Stata Programming" were organized by TStat Training. Dr. Una-Louise Bell held the training lasting 18 hours of lectures and computer exercises.
